Meet Ruby
I’m Ruby - an HR professional who's spent 30 years building HR infrastructure from absolutely nothing.
I know what it's like to walk into an organization that has zero HR systems, policies, or processes and figure out where to start. I've done it in healthcare, automotive, and small business - creating everything from employee handbooks and policies to manager training programs to compliance systems that actually work.
Most recently, I built the entire HR function from scratch for a 100-person, multi-location healthcare organization. Before that, I spent 14 years in HR at a large automotive group managing payroll, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations for 350+ employees - and training the HR directors who came after me. And before any of that? I owned and operated a restaurant, which taught me that HR solutions need to work in the real world, not just on paper.
I'm SHRM-SCP certified, and I believe HR guidance should be accessible and actually useful - not locked behind expensive consultants or complicated corporate systems.
Back of House HR exists because small organizations deserve practical, no-nonsense HR guidance without the corporate complexity and overwhelm.
